How the free book, the bonus packs and our email list work, and how we handle your email address. Last updated 30 September 2026.
1. Who we are
Clabert Books is an independent children's-book author publishing through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). We are the controller of the personal data you give us. Questions or requests: hello@clabertbooks.com.
2. What these terms cover
They cover this website, the free picture book (PDF), the free bonus packs (coloring pages and wallpapers) and the Clabert Books email list. Books bought on Amazon are sold by Amazon under Amazon's own terms. We never handle your payment.
3. What we collect
We collect your email address, which free book or bonus pack you asked for, and when and where on the site you signed up. We keep that record as proof of your consent. We don't collect names, payment details or anything else. This site uses no analytics, no tracking cookies and no third-party fonts. It is meant for parents and adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the address right away.
4. How we use your email
First, to send you the free book or bonus pack you asked for. Then, because you ticked the box, we may email you about Clabert Books, including:
- new book releases and pre-orders;
- special offers, discounts and limited-time deals;
- bundles and promotional packs;
- new freebies, giveaways and printable resources;
- occasional news about our books and launches.
We only ever promote Clabert Books' own books and products, never third-party offers. We write when there's something worth sharing, usually no more than a few times a month.
5. Your consent (legal basis)
We only add you to the list when you tick the consent box yourself. Under the EU GDPR (Art. 6(1)(a)), that opt-in is our legal basis for emailing you. You can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing doesn't affect emails already sent or files you've already received.
6. We never sell or share it
We never sell, rent or trade your address. We use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France, EU) to store the list and send emails on our behalf. Brevo processes the data only for that purpose, under a GDPR data-processing agreement. We would only disclose your data if the law required us to.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After you unsubscribe, we may keep your address on a "do not email" list, used only to make sure you never hear from us again.
8. Unsubscribing & your rights
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also access, correct, export or delete your data, withdraw consent, or object to its use: just email hello@clabertbooks.com. If you believe we've mishandled your data, you can also complain to your national data protection authority.
9. Using the free book & bonus packs
The free book, coloring pages and wallpapers are a gift for your own family's personal, non-commercial use, and you're welcome to print them at home. You may not sell, share, re-upload or redistribute them, use them in other products, or use them to train AI models. All text and artwork remain © Clabert Books. The free offers are available while we choose to offer them, and download links may expire.
10. No guarantees
Our books are gentle stories written to comfort and encourage. They are not medical, psychological or parenting advice. If your child's fears or worries persist, please talk to a qualified professional. The website and free files are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Clabert Books is not liable for any indirect loss arising from their use. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top always shows the latest version. If we ever change how we use your email in a meaningful way, we'll tell you by email first.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union, without taking away any protection you have under the laws of your own country.
